About the Author
Frank J. Shima grew up in rural Southern Minnesota. After high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota.
He was the winner of the 1987 Lake Superior Contemporary Writers Series for fictional prose.
He has been a member of Tornado Alley Writers' Group since 1983.
In 1988 he was the screenwriter for Doing Time, an original half-hour comedy produced by the Screenwriters' Workshop.
Frank wrote and produced Junkyard Dog, an original half-hour comedy for a local Twin Cities cable television network in 1994.
He currently resides in a small town outside of Stillwater, Minnesota with his wife and his cat.
